Dear Twinkle - Falling in Love

Dear Twinkle,

Your dad and I were at dinner tonight, talking about you. We talked about your name and how important it is to us. We talked about all the plans we have for you and things we can't wait for. When we were driving home in the ssnow tonight, your father said he can't wait to see you grow and develop into a person over that first year. A tiny, little person who is completely real and full of possibilities and life...

I think a lot about the things I really want you to know. And tonight, I really want you to know how much your dad and I love each other. The night we decided that we were ready for you, we were sitting at dinner and your dad was looking at me and I started to cry because I just couldn't imagine loving someone more than I love him. Your dad has the greenest eyes, you know that?

The world is a dark and scary place. But God gives us people to love and hold onto. And we can make the world less scary for each other. That's what Dad does for me. And before you were born, you were loved. And someday you'll love someone else and you will make the world less scary for each other.

For now, you're just the twinkle in my eye...

Love,
Your mama

Dear Twinkle - To Begin

Dear Twinkle,

I don't know when I'll meet you. Maybe it will be this year. Or next summer. It might not be for years. I hope it's soon.

But what I want you to know...is that even now, someone is dreaming of you, loving you, and can't wait to show you the world. Tonight you are in my heart. And I am profoundly hopeful.

For now, you remain just the twinkle in my eye.

Love,

Your Mama
